For Kim Yeon Do, this streetlight transcends its mundane role, becoming a powerful symbol of self-reflection and inner dialogue. His journey into painting nightscapes and streetlights began during moments of deep loneliness, times when the night offered him a sanctuary from the relentless pace of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The night, with its quiet stillness, became a canvas for his thoughts and emotions. \u201cNight is a special time for me,\u201d Kim explains. \u201cThe darkness grants me the time to focus entirely on self-reflection. His preferred mediums are traditional Korean paper (Jangji) or cotton, which allow him to explore the subtle nuances of ink and wash.
